Sergey Simakov

Sergey Simakov currently serves as ASE Security at Apple since April 2025. Prior experience includes a tenure at Google from 2016 to 2024, where Sergey held roles as Storage Security Area Lead and Cloud Security Lead, successfully implementing Google-wide encryption-at-rest and launching a key Certificate Authority Service. Prior to Google, Sergey was with Microsoft from 2006 to 2016, progressing from Senior Lead PM in Azure Security to Security Consultant, where major projects included Azure Key Vault and security policy for public key infrastructures. Initially, from 2000 to 2006, Sergey worked as Lead Security Specialist at Validata, developing critical security systems for the financial sector. Sergey holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Moscow Aviation Institute.
