Sumuyya Khader is a creative practitioner based in Liverpool, known for their commitment to the relationship between art practice and the local community. As a freelance illustrator and Project Curator at the Walker Art Gallery, Sumuyya focuses on sharing and acknowledging the work of Black British artists. They previously served as Executive Director at Granby Workshop from 2016 to 2022 and are currently engaged in developing a Black culture and history center in the L8 area of Liverpool. Sumuyya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Liverpool Hope University, earned in 2013.
