Syd Evans is currently the Director of Foundation Models at Apple, where they build foundational models to support Apple Intelligence. Previously, Syd held several roles at Apple, including Engineering Manager for Global Siri and PM team lead for Siri Understanding and Foundation Models. Before joining Apple, Syd was a Product Manager at Ispikit, where they developed a leading SDK for speech technology in English language learning, and they also founded WaiChinese to support Mandarin language learners. Syd holds a Master's Degree in Mathematical Models from the University of International Business and Economics and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from DePaul University.
