Tao Chen

Tao Chen is a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Apple, where they focus on advancing machine learning methodologies. Previously, Tao served as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, specializing in Natural Language Understanding and Information Retrieval, and held a position at Google DeepMind, concentrating on generative AI. Tao obtained their PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, where they also worked as a Research Assistant and later as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. Their research interests include natural language processing, information retrieval, and health informatics.
