Tom Runia

Tom Runia is a Machine Learning Manager and Staff ML Engineer at Apple, where they focus on generative models, 3D computer vision, and digital humans in AR/VR. They earned a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, following a Master’s in Computer Science with Cum Laude honors from Delft University of Technology. Prior to their roles at Apple, they served as a PhD Researcher in the QUVA Deep Vision Lab and held various positions in research and engineering at prominent companies, including Amazon Web Services and TomTom. Tom is currently a Ph.D. student at QUVA Deep Vision Lab, specializing in computer vision and machine learning.
