Trevor Barron is a Robotics Engineer at Apple since April 2019, previously serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University's Interactive Robotics Lab from August 2016 to May 2019, where involvement included a Toyota-funded project optimizing human-robot object handovers for individuals with disabilities using reinforcement learning. Additional experience includes an internship in Apple's Special Projects Group and a summer research internship at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., focusing on reinforcement learning applications in autonomous driving. Earlier, Trevor contributed to Benetech during Google Summer of Code 2012, implementing text-to-speech for mathematical expressions. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Colorado College and continued education at Arizona State University, culminating in 2021.
