Tyrone Hill

System Performance Architecture Manager

Tyrone Hill, PhD, is currently the System Performance Architecture Manager at Apple, a position they have held since 2025. Previously, Hill worked as an ASIC Architect for Tensor SoC at Google from 2019 to 2025, and as a Hardware Engineer at Intel from 2008 to 2009, where they developed power and thermal management algorithms for CPUs. Hill also completed an internship at Sandia National Laboratories in 2004, focused on microfluidics research. They earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008 and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2001.
