Utsav Drolia

Utsav Drolia is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in distributed computing, system architecture, and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Engineer in the Vision Products Group at Apple since December 2020. Prior to this role, Utsav worked as an AI Systems Researcher at NEC Laboratories America, where a scalable, distributed real-time video-analytics platform was developed for various applications. Utsav's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where research focused on detection and recognition systems for mobile and wearable devices, and a Master's degree in Embedded Systems from the University of Pennsylvania. Utsav has also gained valuable experience through internships at Bell Labs and YinzCam, contributing to advancements in mobile edge computing and data dissemination techniques.
