Varun Kumar

Varun Kumar is an experienced software developer with a diverse background in software engineering. Varun began a career at Infosys from January 2007 to August 2012, where responsibilities included updating JSP-based applications for UBS bank's asset management division and enhancing front-end interfaces using JavaScript and HTML/CSS. From January 2014 to April 2019, Varun worked at MediaMath, developing a Kafka-mirror service capable of handling over 100,000 requests per second across multiple data centers and AWS regions. Following this, Varun served as a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart Global Tech until September 2021, focusing on migrating Lua plugins to WebAssembly-based filters and enhancing TCP congestion algorithms. Currently, Varun holds the position of Senior Software Developer at Apple. Varun earned a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, completed in 2006.
