Walter Featherstone

Walter Featherstone is a Senior Standards Engineer at Apple, active in mobile communication research and standardization, particularly in application enablement and MEC/edge computing. With extensive experience as a Principal Research Engineer at both Viavi Solutions and Arieso, and a distinguished role at Motorola Mobility, Featherstone has developed a strong background in telecommunications. They have also held leadership positions, including Technical Manager for ETSI ISG MEC, where they chair initiatives related to open source and API conformance. Featherstone earned a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds and a BEng from Newcastle University.
