Weiwei Zhang

Weiwei Zhang has a strong background in software engineering and data science, with experience in both academic and industry settings. Weiwei served as a Research Assistant at the Berkeley Institute of Data Science, contributing to web frontend development and documentation for research projects. While at the University of California, Berkeley, Weiwei acted as an Undergraduate Student Instructor and Tutor, supporting courses in data science and discrete mathematics. Weiwei's internships include roles at Shopkick and Salesforce, where backend and full-stack features were developed, and a long tenure at Apple, focusing on enhancing Siri's capabilities related to Maps. Weiwei also contributed to various research projects, including data processing APIs at Berkeley RISE Lab and machine learning analysis at the UC Berkeley Hybrid Ecologies Lab. Weiwei holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Music from the University of California, Berkeley, accompanied by a Human-Centered Design Certificate. Currently, Weiwei is a Venture Scout at UpHonest Capital and a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple.
