Xiang Pan

Xiang Pan is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend systems and machine learning applications. Since August 2020, Xiang has been contributing to the AI/ML Siri search team at Apple, focusing on building backend systems for Siri search. Prior to this role, Xiang worked at Uber from June 2018 to August 2020, where responsibilities included developing backend systems for large-scale machine learning model inference for self-driving cars and creating distributed real-time pricing systems for riders. Xiang's earlier experience includes a position at Qualcomm from April 2017 to June 2018, where software simulation for future Hexagon DSP Processor features was a key focus. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a B.E. in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
