Xiaowen Chu

Xiaowen Chu is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, where they build deep learning AI models to enhance web answers and user experience. Previously, Xiaowen served as an Applied Scientist at A9.com from 2015 to 2020, focusing on machine learning and deep learning to improve search relevance and develop ranking systems. They hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and have completed their undergraduate studies in Information Engineering at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Xiaowen has research interests in machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval, and recommendation systems.
