Yong Xia

Yong Xia has extensive experience in hardware testing and engineering, currently serving in Sensing HW Test at Apple since November 2018. Prior to this role, Yong held various positions at Luminus Devices from May 2014 to November 2018, including Product Engineering Manager and Manager of Test and Characterization Engineering. Additional experience includes serving as Staff Scientist at Luxim Corporation, Test Engineer roles at Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. and Bridgelux, Inc., and a strong academic background with a Ph.D. focused on GaN based green LEDs from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, along with a Master of Science in Optics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
