Chad Clem has over two decades of work experience in the food industry. Chad worked at Tyson Foods as a Food Technician from March 2001 to June 2002. Chad then joined Sara Lee Foods as a Food Scientist from June 2002 to May 2005. Chad then moved on to Perdue Farms, where they held the roles of Project Leader from May 2005 to September 2011 and R&D Innovation Manager from March 2011 to October 2014. Most recently, Chad has been working at Applegate as the Vice President of R&D, QA & Project Management since February 2023. In this position, they set the strategy and vision for the R&D, Quality Assurance, and Project Management departments. Chad also ensures the company's long-term health, environmental, and food safety goals are met while supporting innovation and the company's strategic initiatives.
Chad Clem obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Food & Poultry Science from the University of Arkansas from 1995 to 1999. Chad then pursued further education and earned their Master of Science degree in the same field, also from the University of Arkansas, between 1999 and 2002.
