Caroline Breit currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Teamlead Business Development at ApplicAid since February 2021. Previously, Caroline held various roles at ProjectTogether from October 2022 to July 2024, including Founders Associate and Project & Fund Manager for Welcome Alliance, alongside an internship with Alliance4Ukraine. Earlier experience includes an internship in Political Youth Education at Europäische Bewegung Deutschland e.V. and a position in the Market Consultancy Department at the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce. Caroline earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Utrecht University, supplemented by a semester abroad at Luiss Guido Carli University, and holds a Minor in European Governance from Utrecht University. Caroline completed the Abitur at Ratsgymnasium Bielefeld and spent a trimester abroad at St Helen and St Katharine in the UK.

ApplicAid is a multi-award-winning social start-up that promotes educational justice worldwide. We help people from educationally disadvantaged groups (e.g. migrant background; low socio-economic status; non-academic parents; refugees) during the application process for all possible forms of scholarship/funding programmes in order to increase their chances of being admitted and at the same time increase the number of these group of people in such institutions. Our aim is to help people who need assistance in order to realise their full potential and increase their social impact, because admission to such support bodies leaves more time for social commitment and self-development. Through this we support the future generation of young changemakers and leaders, which facilitates a sustainable change in society.
