Staff Interpreter at Applied Development

Alix Kraminitz has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009 as an Office Assistant at Boston University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2010 to 2012, Alix worked as an Annotator for the American Sign Language Research Project at the Boston University Linguistics Department. In 2013, Alix served as an Administrative Assistant for the Independent Living Program at DEAF Inc. Alix then joined Gallaudet University as a Museum Graduate Assistant from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, Alix began working as a Freelance American Sign Language/English interpreter and also participated in a GIS Partnerships in Education Practicum Internship with Gallaudet Interpreting Service. From 2016 to 2017, Alix interned as a Practicum Intern at the Gallaudet Interpreting Service. Alix continued their career as a Staff Interpreter at TCS Interpreting, Inc. from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Alix works at Applied Development LLC as a Staff Interpreter and Alternate Program Manager, starting in October 2022.

Alix Kraminitz is a Master's degree candidate in Linguistics at Georgetown University. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Interpretation from Gallaudet University between 2014 and 2016. Their undergraduate education was completed at Boston University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Deaf Studies. In addition to their academic achievements, Alix also holds a National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc., which was obtained in December 2018.
