Jacob Orozco

Jacob Orozco currently serves as a Document Control Specialist at Applied Engineering since August 2022. Previously, Jacob worked as a Research Assistant at UC Irvine's Valdevit Lab, where significant contributions included investigating the failure mechanisms of the Marching Cubes sculpture using Abaqus simulation software. Additional experience includes a role as Lead Analyst/Product Manager, collaborating with biomedical engineers to design and prototype assistive devices, and serving as Design Lead for an award-winning carbon storage system at the UCI Engineering Conference. Jacob's background also features research roles at UC Irvine's Earthman Lab and Subramanium Lab, alongside earlier positions as a Barista, Shift Team Lead at Fast Track Car Wash, and Mathematics Tutor at Merced Community College District. Jacob holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering from UC Irvine, obtained between 2017 and 2020.
