Mike Mitchell

Mike is responsible for the growth and development initiatives at Applied Health Analytics, LLC, where he brings more than 25 years of health care experience working with hospital systems and self-funded employers. Mike is the Founder of UpShot Health Care, LLC, a work-site health clinic and population-health management company that focuses on connecting self-funded employers with the local provider community to deliver value-based health care programs to commercial patient populations. He continues to work with providers across the country on their commercial market strategies in his expanded role with Applied Health Analytics. Mike has held leadership positions at CIGNA Health, HealthSmart Holdings, and Bravo Wellness. His background includes leading clinical and business teams in the medical, pharmacy and health analytics fields. Mike is experienced in provider-employer contracting strategies, PBM operations, channel business development, digital health technology, and population-health management analytics.

A faculty member for the World Health Care Congress (WHC) and co-author of the WHC whitepaper, "Rewarding Healthy Behaviors," Mike is a national speaker on topics including value-based insurance design, Rx transparency pricing strategies, and employer-ACO health initiatives. He serves on the North Coast Health's Board of Directors, and earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Ohio University.
