Devan Shanker

Devan Shanker is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in autonomous systems and computer vision. Currently employed at Applied Intuition, Devan previously contributed as a Graduate Student Researcher at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research, focusing on formal verification of autonomous vehicles and systems. Research work included leveraging LLM code generation and domain-specific conversational GPT applications. Experience also includes a role as an Autonomous Driving Research Assistant, where Devan developed simulation pipelines for validating autonomous driving data and enhancing fault evaluation algorithms. Prior internships at Nuro and Lucid Motors involved creating obstacle classification systems and leading projects in driver monitoring technology, respectively. Devan holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in EECS and Business Administration from UC Berkeley's M.E.T. program.
