Bruce Walker has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1983 with Thinking Machines Corporation, where they served as Director, Architect for massively parallel Connection Machine computers. In 1994, they moved to Sun Microsystems, where they held the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Ecommerce Applications Division, Director, Electronic Commerce Architecture & Technology, and Sr. Engineering Manager, leading development of high-end server product in SMCC. In 2000, they joined Internet Venture Works as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). From 2002 to 2013, they worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where they held the roles of Director, Genome Assembly & Analysis, Sr. Computational Biologist, and Director, Advanced IT. Since 2014, they have been with Applied Invention, serving as VP, Technology.
Bruce Walker has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
