Dave Setzke

Dave Setzke is a Senior R&D Chemist at Applied Material Solutions since January 2023, focusing on developing eco-friendly paper coating formulations. Prior to this role, Dave held several positions at Bostik, including Group Leader for Polymer Modified Binders and Senior Development Chemist. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Chemist at Gaco Western, where new product development and process improvements were central, and as a Technical Service Chemist at Engineered Polymer Solutions, where water-based formulations for concrete coatings were developed. Dave's career also includes leadership roles at PT Hutchins and Johnson Polymer, where significant advancements in waterborne coating technologies were achieved. Dave's foundational experience began at PPG Industries working on UV and waterborne coatings for wood. Education includes a BS in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
