Amir Komem is currently the Optical Inspection RD&E head at Applied Materials, a position held since 2020. They previously held various leadership roles at Applied Materials from 2012 to 2018, including head of the electro-optics physics group and darkfield wafer inspection R&D manager. Amir's earlier experience includes serving as a senior physicist at Scitex and as a technical products manager and director at OTM Technologies. They earned an M.Sc. in Physics from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Physics & Math from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
