Anant Chimmalgi

Anant Chimmalgi is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and project management, currently serving as Senior Director of Technical Project and Program Management at Applied Materials since June 2023. Previously, Anant held several key positions at Carbon from January 2016 to April 2023, including Vice President of Optics and Systems Engineering and Director of Optics and Systems Engineering. Prior experience includes roles at KLA-Tencor as Senior Engineering Program Manager and various engineering management positions from March 2006 to December 2015. Anant began academic pursuits at the University of California Berkeley, where a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering were earned from 2001 to 2005 and 2001 to 2003, respectively, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, completed in 2001.
