Aodh O'Connor is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Technology Portfolio Lead at Applied Materials since March 2025. Prior to this, Aodh held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Impedans Ltd from March 2024 to February 2025, where Aodh drove technological vision and strategy, leading to the acquisition of the company by Applied Materials. Aodh’s previous roles include Technology Manager for Sensor Systems and Technical Manager for Systems Development at TOMRA, where Aodh oversaw the development and integration of advanced sensor technologies and sorted systems. Aodh also has a significant research background, having led scientific teams at SiriusXT and the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, and was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellowship. Aodh possesses a PhD in Atomic, Molecular and Plasma Physics from University College Dublin and multiple management qualifications.
