Cher Chang

Cher Chang currently serves as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Applied Materials, holding various positions since May 2014, including Mechanical Engineer Manager and Sr. Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities include collaborating with the process engineering team to enhance the uniformity and throughput of Atomic Layer Etcher processes, as well as engaging with the hardware team for mechanical design and testing. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Santa Clara University, focusing on a project aimed at developing a temperature measurement technique for plasma-enhanced etching processes, and as a Marketing Specialist at Porsche Design San Francisco, where exceptional sales performance was achieved. Cher Chang earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Power and Energy from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
