Debjit Ray

Debjit Ray is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience in AI-driven business transformation, currently serving as a Manager in Computation and Data Sciences at Applied Materials. Previously, Ray held positions as a Research Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories and Battelle, where they developed algorithms for genome assembly and models for cancer diagnosis. Ray also led the launch of a cloud-based bioinformatics software suite at Berkeley Lights, Inc., significantly advancing single-cell analysis capabilities. They earned a PhD in Engineering Science from Washington State University and hold master's and bachelor's degrees in Biomathematics and Biotechnology, respectively.
