Hao Zhang

Hao Zhang is a Senior Manager and Process Engineer at Applied Materials, specializing in semiconductor and biochemistry-related R&D and engineering. With over five years of process development experience, Hao focuses on thin-film depositions and is currently developing advanced ALD/PEALD strategies for next-generation applications. Prior to this role, Hao worked as a Graduate Student Instructor and Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, where they contributed to innovative projects such as photosynthetic biohybrid systems and biosynthetic approaches for space applications. Hao earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
