Ilyas U.

Ilyas U. is a Senior Process Engineer at Applied Materials since June 2022, where a process to enhance dielectric film properties for EUV applications was designed. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington State University, contributing to a molecular lithography project with significant durability improvements and cost reductions. At The Johns Hopkins University, Ilyas developed innovative chemical vapor deposition precursors and enhanced lithography processes, resulting in numerous published works, while also improving research efficiency. Earlier tenure at the CHN Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing included securing substantial funding for projects. Ilyas holds a PhD in Chemistry/Polymer Science, an MS in Organic Chemistry, and a BS in Chemistry, with additional postdoctoral studies at The Johns Hopkins University.
