John Wei, PhD, MBA, currently serves as Sr Director at Applied Materials since October 2020. In addition to this role, John is a Board Observer for multiple companies including Rescale, Infinitum Electric, Cornami, Inc., MakinaRocks, and Spectrum Materials Corporation Limited. John is also a Board Member at Electroninks Incorporated. Previously, John was involved with SABIC's venture capital initiatives in the US and China from September 2014 to October 2020, focusing on investments in various sectors such as petrochemical and advanced manufacturing. John holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University and an Executive MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, complemented by educational experiences at Harvard Business School and Tsinghua University.
