Joseph Behnke is the Director of the Materials and Surface Engineering Center of Excellence at Applied Materials. They previously held various roles at Applied Materials, including Director of Materials Core Technology and Director of Etch Materials, and served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Solyndra from 2007 to 2011. Joseph's background in materials science includes a BS from Purdue University and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they were a Principal Process Development Engineer at SunPower Corporation from 2011 to 2017.
