Keith Smith

Keith Smith has over 20 years of experience in advanced process control and optimization. Keith was a Principal Engineer at Perceptive Engineering where they were responsible for management and delivery of Advanced Process Control, multivariate analysis, operator training simulators, and consultancy in the nutritionals and beverages sectors. Prior to that, they worked as an Application Engineer at Invensys, where they were responsible for all aspects of Advanced Process Control implementation. Keith also worked as an Application Engineer at Predictive Control Ltd and as a Teaching Company Associate at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne & ICI, where they were involved in technology transfer into industry and the development of a real-time Intelligent Knowledge Based system. Currently, Keith is working as a Principal Consultant Engineer at Applied Materials.

Keith Smith completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Brunel University London from 1987 to 1991. Keith then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Multivariable Control from Loughborough University, which they completed from 1992 to 1995.
