Liming Zhang

Liming Zhang is a Senior Director of Engineering Management at Applied Materials since June 2008, leading Applied Global Services in the definition, development, and deployment of service products focused on big data solutions. Previously, Liming held the positions of Senior Manager and Principal Technologist in Thin Film Solar, managing an international team for the start-up methodology and support of over ten factories across multiple continents. Prior experience includes a managerial role at Intel from April 2000 to June 2008, overseeing an engineering team for the development and manufacturing of all wet etch and wet clean processes, and serving as a Senior Process Engineer at VLSI Technology and Philips Semiconductors, focusing on CMP process development. Liming holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering with a minor in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona.
