Michelle Teakell

Michelle Teakell currently serves as the SmartFactory Operations Chief of Staff at Applied Materials, starting in July 2024. Prior to this role, Teakell was a Senior Technical Program Manager for Data Center Engineering at Amazon Web Services from October 2021 to July 2024, managing a global program for an internal capital project platform. Teakell's extensive experience at Samsung Austin Semiconductor spanned from July 2007 to October 2021, where key roles included Director of Production and System Strategy, Manager of Manufacturing System Integration, and Systems Engineering Supervisor, among others. This tenure emphasized digital evolution, team leadership, and project integration across various engineering disciplines. Previous experience also includes a Senior Engineer position at Samsung Electronics from May 2014 to May 2015. Teakell holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
