Sanjeev Tandon

Sanjeev Tandon has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Sanjeev currently holds the role of Vice President of Operations at Applied Materials, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations at dpiX for nearly a decade, where they successfully achieved significant growth in customer shipments in the medical X-ray imaging market.

From 2007 to 2012, Sanjeev was the Executive Director of Engineering and Operations at Solexel, a start-up specializing in disruptive solar cell technology. During their tenure, they oversaw pilot fab operations, including fab build, equipment selection, process development, and production.

Before joining Solexel, Sanjeev worked at FormFactor Inc. as the Director of Logic Products from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they led cross-functional teams for new product introduction, field application and support, and technology transfer to production.

Sanjeev began their career at Applied Materials in 1997 as a Senior Global Product Manager for Front End Products. Sanjeev was responsible for securing new orders from top semiconductor manufacturers and delivering market share gains through market segmentation and customer-specific strategies.

Sanjeev Tandon holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University. Prior to obtaining their PhD, they completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
