Siddarth Krishnan

Siddarth Krishnan is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in materials engineering and R&D within the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Managing Director and previously as Senior Director at Applied Materials since July 2015, Siddarth specializes in custom research and development for non-volatile memory in neuromorphic computing, power electronics, and advanced optoelectronics. Siddarth's previous roles include Director in New Markets and Alliances and a Director overseeing ALD metallization processes, focusing on the development of metal gate thin film products for advanced technology nodes. Prior to Applied Materials, Siddarth held managerial and leadership positions at IBM, emphasizing high-K and metallization processes for cutting-edge semiconductor technologies. Early career experiences include research roles at SEMATECH and internships at Visionflow Inc., complemented by a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
