Skip Orvis

Skip Orvis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as the Product Transition Group Team Manager at Applied Materials since October 2021. As the Founder and CEO of Orvis Enterprises since November 2016, Skip has led strategic initiatives across various roles, including VP Engineering at Kenzen, where responsibilities included facilitating technology transfer and engaging with industrial customers. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at Eton Corporation, COO and Head of Systems Development at Caeden, Inc., as well as various engineering management positions at Jawbone, Apple, and the United States Navy, where Skip progressed to First Class Petty Officer. Skip holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, an MSE in Systems Engineering, and an MBA from San José State University.
