Xiawan Yang

Xiawan "Shawn" Yang is currently the Senior Director of Process Engineering for the Etch Business Unit at Applied Materials, a position they have held since 2021. They previously served as the Director of Process Engineering at Applied Materials and have held various engineering roles at companies including Solyndra, Inc., and First Solar. Shawn earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UCLA, where they were also a Graduate Researcher, and hold both an M.S. in Physical Chemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University.
