Zichen Zhang is an experienced R&D Process Integration Engineer at Applied Materials, specializing in logic processes since October 2022, and previously held the title of R&D Process Engineer for Disruptive Technology. Prior to this, Zichen was a Graduate Research Assistant at UC San Diego from July 2017 to August 2022, where significant work included the use of atomic layer deposition (ALD) to create ultrathin dielectric layers on 2D materials and the application of plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) for n-type doping of carbon nanotubes. Zichen completed a PhD in Materials Science at UC San Diego in September 2022 after obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in July 2017.
