Newman Tseng

Newman Tseng has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Newman started their career at HTC in 2005, where they served as the Manager of Global Experience Planning. In this role, they identified innovation opportunities and presented new product proposals to the CEO. Newman also played a crucial role in introducing innovative features such as the world's first smartphone embedded with an IR emitter and the world's first HDMI dongle for wireless media content streaming.

Tseng then moved on to MediaTek in 2014, where they became the Manager of Product Marketing. Newman managed the Microsoft account and promoted it as a key account at MediaTek. Newman played an instrumental role in developing ASIC business and worked on projects such as the Azure Sphere MCU and wireless SoC for Xbox One S Controller.

In 2017, Tseng joined Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) as a Senior Product Manager. Here, they surveyed camera market trends and defined camera specifications for Moto Z phones. Newman also defined product requirements and user experience for Moto Mods accessories, including a VR Mod and Alexa Smart Speaker Mod. Additionally, they managed ODM to meet milestones and cost targets.

Tseng then joined Getac in 2018 as a Product Director, where they oversaw product management responsibilities until 2020.

Most recently, in 2020, Tseng joined Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. as the Head of Product Management & Business Development Division.

Newman Tseng completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Tsing Hua University from 1994 to 1998. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at National Taiwan University from 1998 to 2000. In 2003, Newman Tseng obtained the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification, which was granted by (ISC)2.
