Kathryn Dyson

Kathryn Dyson is a Software Engineer at Applied Physical Sciences Corp (APS) since August 2023, with extensive experience in various roles within the technology and education sectors. At UConn, Kathryn serves as a WOW Captain, facilitating candidate interviews and planning engagement activities for incoming students. Past internships include software engineering and data analytics at Collins Aerospace, where contributions involved database management, tool implementation, and user transition support. Kathryn participated in notable programs, such as The Hartford's Early Immersion Program and Lockheed Martin's ethics competition, achieving recognition among university teams. Additionally, Kathryn has experience in teaching English to young children in Taiwan and developing Mandarin lessons, along with research in cancer-immunology at UConn Health. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut.
