Alexander Wu

Team Leader / Project Manager at Applied StemCell

Alexander Wu, PhD started their work experience in 2004 as a Research Fellow at Boston University School of Medicine. During their time there, they focused on studying the transcriptional profiling of p63 and its mutants, investigating the signaling pathway regulating p63 protein, and studying cell response to Nutlin 3 treatment. Alexander also collaborated with GlaxoSmithKline on an oncogenic study. In 2011, they joined Applied StemCell Inc as a Team Leader and Project Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing transgenic service projects and overseeing the development of the company's proprietary technology, TARGATT. Alexander significantly improved gene targeting efficiency and shortened project turnaround time.

Alexander Wu, PhD, received their education in the field of medicine and biochemistry/oncology. Alexander started their educational journey in 1996 by pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine degree at Peking University, which they completed in 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geriatrics at the same institution, completing it in 2004. Alexander furthered their studies at Boston University School of Medicine, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Oncology in 2010.
