Benny Halberstadt

Benny Halberstadt has over 20 years of work experience in various senior and leadership roles. Currently, they are working as a Senior Backend Architect at Applitools. Prior to this, they worked as an Architect at Hippo Insurance from 2021 to 2022, where they helped establish best practices and select technologies for their ML journey. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Architect at CytoReason, leading the development of their data-driven drug development platform and utilizing technologies such as GCP, Kubernetes, Argo, R, Node.js, and Python.

Before that, Benny worked at The Weather Company, an IBM Business, from 2016 to 2018, serving as a Senior Architect in both B2B and B2C roles. Benny led the development of a hazard information system for pilots using natural language processing and launched an analytics and A/B testing platform for The Weather Channel's mobile apps.

Prior to their time at The Weather Company, Benny worked as a Senior Architect at IBM from 2006 to 2016, where they were responsible for a suite of data integration products. Benny also held the role of Software Team Lead at Unicorn Solutions from 2003 to 2006 before it was acquired by IBM.

Earlier in their career, Benny worked as a Software Architect at VerticalNet and as a Technical Lead at Tradeum. Benny began their career as a Software Engineer at Comverse Technology, Inc., gaining experience in C++, COM, Telephony APIs, and Speech Recognition software.

Benny Halberstadt completed their A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Economics at Hasmoneon from 1981 to 1988. Benny then pursued a BEng degree in Software Engineering from Imperial College London, graduating between the years 1991 and 1994. In addition to their formal education, Benny obtained several certifications on Coursera, including "Machine Learning by Stanford University," "Machine Learning: Regression," "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach," "R Programming," and "Getting and Cleaning Data." These certifications were achieved between February 2017 and March 2018.
