David Tomkinson has over 20 years of work experience in various companies. David began their career at Nortel, where they worked as a Sales Engineer/Proposals, responsible for pricing quotes accurately and driving all activities associated with pricing. David then moved on to become a Commercial Marketing Manager at Nortel, overseeing global pricing strategy and commercial issues for a $1.2 billion business.
In 2006, Tomkinson joined Tektronix Communications as a Commercial Marketing Manager, where they played a key role in turning around the relationship and profitability of their largest customer. David also guided account teams in developing successful commercial proposals and quotes, resulting in a 20% annual sales growth and increased gross margin.
Tomkinson then joined NETSCOUT in 2012 as a Senior Manager of the Technical Bids team, where they managed a project management and technical team responsible for responding to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. David owned the RFP response process until 2018 when they joined Sandvine as a Senior Director of Portfolio Pricing.
David Tomkinson attended the University of Surrey from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a BSc in Physics & Optoelectronics.
