Steve Carpenter

Steve is a partner at Rubicon and joined the firm when it was established in 2012. At Rubicon, Steve sits on the boards of AppNeta, Central Logic, Cin7, Gimmal, OutMatch, QSR, Scaled Agile, Uplight, and Vision Government Solutions. Prior to their respective exits, Steve sat on the boards of Aucerna, Astute, and Personify.

Prior to joining Rubicon, Steve was Chief Executive Officer of Ventyx, a wholly-owned division of ABB. Under his leadership Ventyx grew from $250M to over $600M in revenue through 3 acquisitions and the integration of existing ABB software businesses. Steve was also President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Ventyx as a private company owned by Vista Equity Partners from 2007 until its sale to ABB in 2010, during which time Ventyx successfully integrated 6 acquisitions. Prior to Ventyx, Steve worked at several private equity backed software roll-ups including Baan, SSA Global and Infor.
