Darwin Brochero

Darwin Brochero is an experienced leader in hydrology and artificial intelligence with a diverse professional background. As the Founder and CEO of AppOX since March 2018, Darwin has overseen various AI projects for the public health system in Quebec. Prior experience includes serving as a Researcher and Developer at the Geophysical Institute, where Darwin led the integration of deep learning with streamflow forecasting models, significantly reducing project costs while establishing a reliable Flood Early Warning System. Additional roles included Researcher and Developer at Université Laval, where Darwin worked on hydrometeorological modeling, and various engineering positions focusing on hydraulic systems and flood control. Darwin holds a Doctorate in Hydrology from Université Laval and a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Resources from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
