Giora Aharonov

Giora Aharonov is the CTO and Co-Founder of Apprentice, a role they have held since 2023, where they work to streamline month-end close with AI. From 2005 to 2008, they held multiple roles at the Ministry of Defence, including R&D Project Manager, Antennas Electrical Engineer, and Audio Electrical Engineer – technical lead. They co-founded Cogito Systems and served as CTO & Co-Founder from 2011 to 2020, managing the R&D group and developing an end-to-end automated high-frequency trading system with a yearly turnover of $0.5B. They were Director of Research at Pagaya from 2021 to 2023 and previously held roles as R&D Team Leader at Mintigo (2010–2011) and Head of the CD-SEM Program at Imagu (2008–2010). They earned an MBA from Tel Aviv University (2006–2008, cum laude) and a B.Sc in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University (1999–2002, cum laude, Talpiot program).
