André Veríssimo, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various positions and industries.

André'smost recent position, starting in 2022, is as a R/Shiny Developer at Appsilon.

From 2014 to 2021, they served as a PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico, specializing in Adaptive Clinical Decision Support Systems for Personalized Medicine. André was affiliated with the Centre for Intelligent Systems at IDMEC-LAETA and supervised by Prof. Susana Vinga.

André Veríssimo, PhD, has an extensive educational background in the field of computer engineering. André began their academic journey in 1995 at St. Julian's School, where they completed their primary education. In 2000, they moved on to Colégio Maristas de Carcavelos for their secondary education.

André'stertiary education took place at Instituto Superior Técnico, where they pursued their bachelor's degree in information systems and computer engineering from 2003 to 2007. After completing their undergraduate studies, André went on to obtain their master's degree in the same field at Instituto Superior Técnico, graduating in 2009.

Driven by their passion for computer engineering, André further pursued their education to attain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Instituto Superior Técnico. André successfully completed their PhD program in computer engineering in 2020, culminating years of research, academic rigor, and scholarly contribution.

In addition to their impressive educational qualifications, André Veríssimo has also obtained certification as a speaker at the R/Medicine Virtual Conference in 2023. This certification was awarded by The Linux Foundation in June 2023. Such recognition further establishes their expertise and commitment to the field of computer engineering.
