Jakub Nowicki, PhD

Jakub Nowicki, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jakub started their career in 2012 as a Researcher at Uniwersytet Warszawski, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they gained valuable research experience.

In 2017, Jakub transitioned to the National Information Processing Institute, where they initially worked as a Junior Data Scientist from April to November. Jakub then became a Data Scientist from December 2017 to September 2018.

Afterward, Jakub joined Biblioteka Narodowa as a Junior Librarian for a brief period from January to March 2017.

In 2018, Jakub joined Appsilon and has since held various roles. Jakub started as a Software Engineer in October 2018 and worked in this position until February 2021. Jakub was then promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer, where they demonstrated their skills until August 2022.

In August 2022, Jakub took on the role of Senior Software Engineer and Open Source Lead, and later transitioned to the role of Staff Engineer and Open Source Lead in December 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Staff Engineer and Lab Lead, showcasing their growth and expertise in the field.

Jakub Nowicki, PhD completed their education with a Master's degree in Geology from the University of Warsaw from 2004 to 2011. Jakub further pursued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geology from the same institution from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their academic achievements, Jakub acquired the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in April 2023.
