Co-Founder, CTO at Appsmith

Arpit Mohan has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Arpit is currently a Co-Founder and CTO at Appsmith since July 2019, where they are responsible for building a global developer-focused product and defining engineering processes. Previously, they worked as an Engineering Owner at CultGear, the e-commerce arm of Cure.fit from December 2018 to July 2019. At CultGear, Arpit owned the entire engineering deliverable for the company. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Mobshow, a live interactive video platform, from November 2017 to June 2018. In this role, they focused on architecting and building the backend infrastructure to accommodate the platform's rapid growth. Arpit also worked as the CTO at Bicycle AI from September 2016 to October 2017. Before that, they were a Senior Engineer at Exotel Techcom Private Limited, a cloud telephony startup, from April 2015 to August 2016. In this position, they played a key role in designing and deploying a large scale distributed system capable of handling millions of calls per day. Arpit has also worked as a Principal Engineer at Ezetap Mobile Solutions Pvt Ltd, where they worked on designing tracking and metrics for the payment gateway from June 2014 to March 2015. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Clinknow from June 2013 to June 2014, where they worked with financial institutions to monetize their transactional data through real-time analytics and machine learning algorithms. Arpit started their career as a Co-Founder and CTO at Gharpay from January 2011 to July 2013, where they were responsible for architecting and implementing a real-time and scalable system for the company. Arpit also worked as a Software Engineer at KONY Labs from May 2010 to February 2011 and served as an Ambassador at 1M/1M from January 2010 to June 2010.

Arpit Mohan attended Indian School Al Ghubra from 1990 to 2002. Arpit then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, between 2005 and 2009.
